Biro

Noun, British Trademark (pl. biros)

A kind of ballpoint pen.

“His thumb scrolls in a half-circular fashion as he navigates his mobile. The biggest problem, as well as the source of his frustration, happens to be too specific: that is, his search for a particular optometrist. He grumbles about if he didn’t know the doctor existed, he’d have found her by now. A name catches his attention and he glances down at the note his brother gave him. Ah, ha! He reaches for a biro to take notes. After all, what fool would simply listen to his older brother’s advice without research?”
